Day 3: 5-Course Culinary Crescendo Tasting Series

Opened at the end of 2023 on the edge of Grant Park, this intimate pop-up supper club was launched by Chefs Jared Warwick (Wick) of Octopus Bar and Ben Skolnick (Nick) of BoccaLupo. Their efforts paid off quickly, as Eater promptly listed Wick & Nick's on its 2024 List of “Hottest in Atlanta” as did the Atlantan in their “Hottest New Restaurants” List. It’s always an adventure and something of a surprise as to what you’ll find here. Still, they’re known for dishes like scallop ceviche with leche de tigre, braised lamb neck with semolina gnocchi, duck tortellini with butternut squash, and glorious desserts like blueberry semifreddo and Thai tea panna cotta. There’s always something new, different, and delicious at Wick & Nick’s, so let’s head over, dig in, and chat with the chefs about where they get their food ideas.

Hailing from Duluth, Georgia, Chef Ben Skolnick honed his craft at Boccalupo before teaming up with Chef Jared Warwick of Octopus Bar. Wick & Nick's is their first culinary project.

Jared Warwick

Co-Chef/Owner

Chef Jared Warwick is the chef at Octopus Bar as well as the co-founder of Wick & Nick’s. With over a decade in kitchens, his food draws on local ingredients, Asian techniques, and a light Italian sensibility that feels refined, seasonal, and a little unpredictable (like Atlanta itself).

All courses will be individually plated. This menu will be Fish, Mushroom, Peanut & Tree Nut Free. For the list of restrictions Chef is accommodating, scroll to the bottom of this page.

    fromage blanc foam, chive oil, winter citrus, candied pepita, castlefranco radicchio

  2. Side Stripper Shrimp & Charred Eggplant Hummus

    kaffir lime & celery root poached alaska shrimp, black garlic hummus, fine herbes

  3. Agrodolce Rotolo Verde

    duck & boar ragù, sweet & spicy agrodolce, roasted squash bechamel

  4. Beef Cheek Milanese Risotto

    red wine braised beef cheek, root vegetables, saffron risotto, edamame gremolata

  5. Hand Rolled Cannoli

    smoked vanilla ganache, cocoa nib, amarena cherry

Do guests need to be of a certain age to attend this event?
Yes. All attendees must be 21+ to gain entry.
Will this event be handicap acccessible?

What is the event ticket cancellation/refund policy?
Restaurants purchase the food for our events 14 days before the event date, at which point we are on the hook for the cost of your ticket. As such, we are not able to offer refunds (or credits towards future events) for any cancellation requests submitted within 14 days of the event date. We will, however, issue full refunds for all cancellation requests submitted at least 14 days before the event date. All cancellation requests must be submitted via email to support@tastingcollective.com.
What dietary restrictions/food allergies can be accommodated at this event?
Due to the large-format nature of our events, restaurants are not able to accommodate all dietary restrictions/food allergies or make any menu adjustments based on food preferences (e.g distaste for specific ingredients/flavor profiles). This restaurant will be offering substitutions exclusively for the following restrictions/allergies: Vegetarian, Pescatarian, Gluten, Dairy (with the Exception of Butter), Shellfish, Egg, Allium (with the Exception of Garlic). They are NOT accommodating restrictions related to the following ingredients: Butter, Garlic. If you have any of these restrictions/allergies, please make sure to note this in your profile (in the “Event Preferences” section) either before or right after purchasing your tickets so Chef can prepare accordingly.
Does this restaurant allow BYOB?
No. This restaurant is a non-BYO establishment. Outside alcohol will not be permitted at this event.
