Triola's Kitchen

5-Course Tribute to Nonno Tasting Event

Opened in 2017, this Heights eatery just landed on this year’s Eater list of “Hottest in Houston.” Triola’s Kitchen is the creation of Chef/Owner Frank Triola, the grandson of Frank Azzarelli, whose legendary namesake restaurant was the first Italian restaurant in Houston, attracting passing luminaries like Bob Hope and Marilyn Monroe. In 1998, Frank Triola brought Azzarelli’s to new heights and new locations (five, altogether). Now, at Triola’s Kitchen, he is providing diners with supernal versions of classic Italian fare like burrata salad, baked mozzarella, beef carpaccio, veal parmasana, and many amazing pasta dishes. Dan Greer, restaurant reviewer for The Leader, had this to say: “Every once in a while you come across a place that is special. They check all the boxes. Triola’s Kitchen may just be such a place. From the moment you walk in the door, you see that they are a throwback to a different era. You are met with not just a smile, but a heartfelt greeting, like your Italian aunt that hasn’t seen you since your cousin’s wedding.” Sounds like just what we need about now!
