Christmakwanzakkah Party

Forget about all your other holiday parties. The holiday party of all holiday parties has arrived! We're thrilled to be teaming up with TC fave, Tawla, for our first-ever Christmakwanzakkah Party in San Francisco! Executive Chef Joseph Magidow totally blew us away at our first collaboration together way back when. So, when we were thinking about where to host this party, Tawla immediately jumped to mind. In the spirit of the holidays, the format for this event series will be different than our typical event format - passed hors d'oeuvres cocktail party to start before moving into moving into the seated portion of the party. The evening will kick off with a plethora of Chef Magidow's favorite canapés as you drink and mingle. Then, we'll take our seats for a large-format feast. Of course, we'll wrap up the night with a Chef Q&A during dessert. For those of you who weren't able to attend our first event at Tawla, you can read up on the backgrounds of Chef Magidow and Owner Azhar Hashem below -- they'll both be in attendance at the event to share stories!

About the Hosts:

Joseph Magidow

Executive Chef

Prior to taking the helm at Tawla, Chef Magidow worked as Sous Chef at Delfina, the 2019 Michelin Bib Gourmand eatery. Before that, he worked as Sous Chef at Pizzeria Delfina and Line Cook at Locanda.

Azhar Hashem

Owner

Prior to opening Tawla in 2016, Ms. Hashem spent seven years working in marketing at Google. She previously moved to the Bay Area from Massachusetts to attend Berkeley’s Haas Business School.

Event FAQs


Do I have to bring printed tickets to the event?
No tickets are needed.
What must I bring to the event?
Please make sure to bring a government-issued photo ID.
Do guests need to be of a certain age to attend this event?
Yes. All attendees must be 21+ to gain entry.
What is the event ticket cancellation/refund policy?
Restaurants purchase the food for our events 14 days before the event date, at which point we are on the hook for the cost of your ticket. As such, we are not able to offer refunds (or credits towards future events) for any cancellation requests submitted within 14 days of the event date. We will, however, issue full refunds for all cancellation requests submitted at least 14 days before the event date. All cancellation requests must be submitted via email to support@tastingcollective.com.
What does the ticket price cover?
The ticket price covers the full cost of the meal.
Can I bring guests/non-members to this event?
Yep! For this event, guest tickets are $75 + tax & tip, and you can bring up to 3 guests. Please note, guests are not allowed to attend unaccompanied by a member.
What dietary restrictions/food allergies can be accommodated at this event?
At this event, adjustments cannot be made to specific dishes. However, there will be SO MANY dishes served, that guests with allergies/restrictions will get to enjoy more than enough food to feel good and full! Please make sure to Update Your Dietary Restrictions within your Account Info before or after you purchase tickets, or email us at support@tastingcollective.com after you purchase tickets to let us know what your allergies/restrictions are.
