5-Course Modern Roman Tasting Event
Opened in 2019, this exceptional Italian eatery in Cass Corridor was named “Restaurant of the Year” in 2020 by Hour Detroit and appeared on Thrillist’s 2021 List of “Best Detroit Restaurants.” What’s more, Chef Anthony Lombardo is a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America who was a James Beard Semi-Finalist for “Best Chef: Great Lakes” in 2019 and 2022. In 2017, Chef Lombardo started SheWolf, named for the creature who suckled Romulus and Remus, by inviting friends and neighbors into his apartment for small intimate dinners that focused on the complexity of modern Roman cuisine. Now, eight years later, he is delighting diners with flawless pasta dishes like cacio e pepe and linguine alle vongole, secondi like agnello (red wine braised lamb shank) and capesante (scallops with porcini peppercorn cream sauce), and vegetable dishes like carciofi fritti (fried artichoke with lemon aioli) and sformato (savory celery root custard). Luscious gelatos, chocolate pots de crème, and baba al rhum for dessert as well. “Exquisite,” is how Hour Detroit defines SheWolf, so, naturally, we are super-excited to visit here and to chat with Chef Lombardo about Roman cooking. Chef Anthony Lombardo began SheWolf in Midtown Detroit in 2017, inviting friends and neighbors into his apartment for small intimate dinners that focused on the complexity of modern Roman cuisine. He's since grown SheWolf into a proper brick-and-mortar. He is a 2004 graduate of the Culinary Institute of America in New York and previously served as Executive Chef of 1789 and a featured chef at the acclaimed James Beard House (in addition to helming the Hamilton and Bacco Ristorante).

- Yes. All attendees must be 21+ to gain entry.

- What is the event ticket cancellation/refund policy?
- Restaurants purchase the food for our events 14 days before the event date, at which point we are on the hook for the cost of your ticket. As such, we are not able to offer refunds (or credits towards future events) for any cancellation requests submitted within 14 days of the event date. We will, however, issue full refunds for all cancellation requests submitted at least 14 days before the event date. All cancellation requests must be submitted via email to support@tastingcollective.com.
