Sabina Mezcaleria

Day 8: 5-Course Oaxacan Oasis Tasting Series

No, you do not have to go to Oaxaca (as nice as that would be!) to savor a real mezcal and tapas experience. This Newbury Street establishment that opened this past December from Allan Rodriguez, the restaurateur behind La Neta and El Centro, is Boston’s first mezcaleria - and, as such, it immediately jumped onto Eater’s “Hottest New in Boston” List and Resy’s “Hit List.” Within this stunning industrial-style lounge (created by cutting-edge Adige Design) diners savor delights like crispy soft-shell crab tacos, corn tamal topped with black truffle cream, esquite tostada, grilled romaine lettuce, guacamole (with roasted grasshoppers, if desired), smoked fish quesadillas, and golden squash blossom cream served with roasted seeds and crispy squash blossom. For dessert, you might find the showstopping amor canela, a ring-shaped house-made churro with vanilla ice cream and dulce de leche. And then there’s the mezcal and other agave delights to wash it all down. We are absolutely pumped to visit Sabina and hope to see you there!
