5-Course Pan-Asian Pleasures Tasting Event

Opened at the very outset of 2023, this Mission District eatery that specializes in Asian comfort food (and who amongst us couldn’t use some comfort these days?) has appeared on Eater’s List of “Best New Restaurants in America” and Thrillist’s List of “Best Restaurants in San Francisco.” For years, Chef Chris Yang and his partner Marcelle Gonzales Yang have popped up around the Bay Area serving food inspired by both Taiwanese night markets and their experiences living and eating in places including Bali, Hawai’i, and Singapore. Here, at Piglet & Co, they are delighting diners with such dishes as honey walnut shrimp and pork toast, a glorious version of congee, BBQ pork ribs with miso glaze, charred Savoy cabbage, and doubanjiang-glazed cauliflower. “Piglet & Co takes Asian comfort food to the next level,” raves Axios, while Eater calls it “a destination.” Well, it’s our destination, to be sure, and we look forward to our evening here. Chef Chris is known for skillfully blending traditional techniques with contemporary flavors, as well as his commitment to sustainability and local sourcing. Prior to Piglet & Co, he and partner Marcelle Gonzales Yang have popped up around the Bay Area for years under the names of their two businesses, Hén-zhì and the more casual El Chino Grande.

Courses #1 & #5 will be individually plated; courses #2, #3 & #4 will be served family-style. This menu will be Peanut & Mushroom Free. For the list of restrictions Chef is accommodating, scroll to the bottom of this page.

Do guests need to be of a certain age to attend this event?
Yes. All attendees must be 21+ to gain entry.
Does this restaurant allow BYOB?
No. This restaurant is a non-BYO establishment. Outside alcohol will not be permitted at this event.
Will this event be handicap acccessible?

What is the event ticket cancellation/refund policy?
Restaurants purchase the food for our events 14 days before the event date, at which point we are on the hook for the cost of your ticket. As such, we are not able to offer refunds (or credits towards future events) for any cancellation requests submitted within 14 days of the event date. We will, however, issue full refunds for all cancellation requests submitted at least 14 days before the event date. All cancellation requests must be submitted via email to support@tastingcollective.com.
What dietary restrictions/food allergies can be accommodated at this event?
Due to the large-format nature of our events, restaurants are not able to accommodate all dietary restrictions/food allergies or make any menu adjustments based on food preferences (e.g distaste for specific ingredients/flavor profiles). This restaurant will be offering substitutions exclusively for the following restrictions/allergies: Vegetarian, Pescatarian, Gluten, Butter, Shellfish, Fish, Egg, Tree Nut, Scallion, Leek. They are NOT accommodating restrictions related to the following ingredients: Chive, Shallot (Raw & Cooked), Garlic (Cooked), Onion (Cooked).
