Osteria Langhe
5-Course Piemontese Panorama Tasting Event
Italy’s Piedmont region (which sits at the foot of the Alps bordering France and Switzerland) is renowned for cuisine that features egg-rich pastas, extraordinary cheeses, and superb wines - so of course, it only made sense for Aldo Zaninotto, veteran of Chicago restaurants like Carlucci and Savarin, to establish this ode to the region. It's currently under the culinary direction of Midwest-born Chef Michael Lanzerotte, who honed his craft working in the kitchens of upscale Italian spot Taverna 750 and Mediterranean-inspired Sociale. After the pandemic (and his time at Bistro 750, Saint Lou’s Assembly, and more), he joined the Osteria Langhe team. Add in Executive Chef Fabian Hernandez Blanco and the rest, as they say, is history. With a spot on Time Out's "20 Best Italian Restaurants in America" List in 2017, we always knew we'd return to this place, but lest you think the team has rested on its laurels, Osteria (under Lanzerotte and Blanco's reign) has also claimed spots on 2023 Lists such as Eater's "Best Italian in Chicago" and USA Today's "10 Best in Chicago." This event is a one-night-only collaboration with Edible Manhattan and Pecorino Romano PDO, with a special cheese-forward menu as Chef McDade shows members how to use this distinctly rich 100% sheep milk cheese. We hope we'll see you there (and for more information on Pecorino Romano PDO, visit pecorinoromano.com/en/consortium.)
