Nômadé Cocina
5-Course Tribute to the Yucatán Tasting Event
Opened just this past October, this hot new eatery in the Bouldin Creek neighborhood specializes in coastal Mexican cuisine, and features oak and mesquite open-fire cooking. So, it's no surprise that it jumped right onto Eater’s “Hottest New in Austin” List and Infatuation’s “Most Exciting Spots in Austin” List. Chef/Owners Jay Huang and Adam Weisberg, the forces behind Austin’s popular Lucky Robot, turn out exciting dishes that draw on the influences of Lebanese, Portuguese, and African flavors like sikil pak, a traditional smoky-silky Mayan dip, oak-grilled pulpo (octopus), 24-hour short rib with tamarind pasilla and mango habanero, duck panucho with mole negro and apricot, varied crudos and ceviches, and much more. To top it all off, it’s all served up in an open-air environment loaded with plants that is reminiscent of Tulum’s fabled Hartwood restaurant. Texas Monthly, in its three-star rave review, lauded the “vibey Yucatán cuisine,” which is music to our ears. We look forward to our visit and to seeing you there!
