Neb
5-Course Wood-Fired Piemontese Tasting Event
Opened just this past November as the newest in the downtown restaurant empire of James Beard Award Winner Tom Douglas—he of The Palace Kitchen, Lola, Etta’s, and Seatown—Neb, which fuses “rustic northwest” with “Italianesque,” hopped right onto Eater’s “Hottest New in Seattle” List and Infatuation’s “Openings to Know About” List. Executive Chef Baltimore Vu, formerly a sous chef at a two-Michelin-starred restaurant in Chicago, is making judicious use of his wood oven to turn out starters like bruschetta with smoked cod and sundried tomato and charred napa cabbage, pastas like nettle cannelloni with miso ricotta and uni spaghetti with salmon roe and nori, and mains like beef and pork meatballs and Alaskan black cod. Save room too for one of the luscious desserts, like cannoli with a yuzu twist or blood orange hazelnut cake. It all adds up to a special night out, so we look forward to seeing you there and to discovering Neb together.
