5-Course Elevated Indian Tasting Event

Simultaneously named to Eater Seattle’s “38 Essential Restaurants” list and Seattle Met’s “Best New Restaurants 2020,” Meesha 127, a welcome addition to the Fremont neighborhood, combines traditional preparations with local ingredients for dishes that are authentic to both their Indian origins and their Pacific Northwest setting. Indian-born Chef Preeti Agarwal quietly built a dedicated audience for her acclaimed pop-up Indian dinners, which she was doing all over the Emerald City since 2018. She then purchased Pomerol, the popular French restaurant, in 2019, adjusting the menu to focus on small plates, starters and vegetables and infusing selected Indian spices, flavors, and dishes into the menu as it morphed into Meesha 127. Seattle Eater lauds her for “some of the best Indian food in the city,” citing dishes like parsi lamb chops, the spicy lentil stew called panchmel dal, and Goan prawns with green mango, coconut sauce, and curry leaves. We’re excited to sample Chef Agarwal’s food and to hear her thoughts on Indian cuisine. Bring your appetite and your questions!

Executive Chef/Owner

Born and raised in India, Chef Preeti Agarwal attended a small culinary school, but didn’t initially plan to become a chef. However, after moving to Seattle she began doing pop-up dinners around the city before taking over Pomerol, a French restaurant, where she began incorporating Indian flavors. Eventually, she launched Meesha 127 and she has recently opened her second restaurant Kricket Club.
