Kimski

5-Course Korean Meets Polish Tasting Event

Korean Polish Barbecue? It's a mashup, of course, but a crazy delicious one! The reputation of Kimski, a Bridgeport fixture since 2016, is based on the perfect marriage of Polish sausages and krautchi (kimchi + sauerkraut), but there's a lot more to this unique eatery than that. Chef/Owner Won Kim grew up in a multicultural community on the North Side and knows how to take the best from various traditions, which explains why he won a "Rising Star Chef" award from StarChefs. He has worked as a popup cook assisting on whole hog cookery, in fine dining restaurants, at private events, and everything in-between. He keeps things casual but possesses a fine dining mentality when it comes to utilizing the best ingredients and techniques. And Kimski's fare hardly stops with Polish sausages. Here, you'll find scallion potato pancakes with pork shoulder, kimchi poutine, veggie "potskis" (potsticker-pierogi combos), and plenty of other memorable dishes. "Delicious," says Eater, and may we add inventive, fun, and guaranteed to please?
