Italo
Day 1: 5-Course Ode to Bel Paese Tasting Series
Debuting just this past May, this exceptional eatery that represents a bit of Little Italy in the heart of Uptown appeared on Charlotte Observer’s List of “Openings to Look Out For.” Executive Chef Alex Piatt has a fine hand with pasta in particular, but other mainstays of Italian cooking are equally celebrated on his menu. Standout dishes include such fare as scallop crudo, prosciutto and mozzarella, tagliatelle with ragù bolognese, linguini vongole, chicken marsala, and lush desserts like ricotta cheesecake with limoncello curd (which Charlotte Observer cited on their list of “Must Try Bites”) and torta al cioccolato with espresso ganache and salted caramel mousse. We can never get enough of Italian food—and suspect you feel the same—so are very much looking forward to our visit here. Join us, won’t you?
