HEX

Day 1: 5-Course Hawaiian Meets Mexican Tasting Series

Opened this past April in Camp North End, this eatery emerged out of a local pop-up started in 2015 by three pals—Chandler Wrenn, Tanner Morita, and John Michael Cord—that has become a real American success story. Hex’s coffee beans are now sold online and brewed in cafés nationally and internationally. HEX is the next chapter in that story, serving food that is good enough to merit a spot on Eater’s “Hottest in Charlotte” List for 2024. Traditionally inspired by Tanner Morita’s Japanese-Hawaiian upbringing, with dishes like rice porridge with pork belly, charred cabbage, miso-cured egg yolk, katsu sando with panko pork cutlet, and spam musubi, Executive Chef Hector Gonzalez is keeping the Hawaiian and building on those influences with his Mexican culture for our series, in a special and exclusive menu crafted just for us. This promises to be a very different and fun night out, so we look forward to seeing you there!
