5-Course Avant-Appalachian Tasting Event

A veteran on the Charlotte restaurant scene, having opened in 2017, this outstanding eatery near Romare Bearden Park has maintained its impeccable standards. Charlotte Magazine named it to its “50 Best Restaurants” List of 2023, while Southern Living gave it a place of honor on its 2023 “Best of Charlotte” List. Executive Chef Chris Coleman, a native Charlottean who opened The Asbury at the Dunhill Hotel and helmed the kitchen at the Good Year House in NoDa, reinterprets the bounty of the Piedmont area and Appalachia with dishes like backyard chicken wings with sorghum chili glaze, North Carolina mountain trout, grilled pork collar with citrus marinade and blue cheese poblano slaw, chicken & dumplings, and rabbit tagliatelle. It’s all served up in a stunning space featuring huge windows and midcentury modern décor. We’re very excited to visit here and to hear how Chef Coleman approaches traditional Southern cuisine in a way that makes it come to life!
