5-Course Sustainably Seasonal Tasting Event

Opened this past December in Greenpoint, this distinctive eatery that offers contemporary American cuisine jumped right onto Infatuation’s List of “Best New Restaurants in Brooklyn.” Chef/Owner Allyx Seeman has an interesting background, not only in food (although she did cook at the 3-Michelin-Starred restaurant Jean-Georges) but in interior design and food styling as well. Here, in a dining room bedecked with marble tables and gator-themed wallpaper, Chef Seeman serves up exceptional fare, like crispy chicken paillard with Dijon aioli, hake with green curry, black rice, and peanut crumble, and mixed mushrooms with salted barley, sheep milk crema, and house-made chili crisp. In its five-star review, Time Out says that Chef Seeman has “authored the most comprehensive menu in the shortest number of items the city has seen in a while. And, unlike other similarly truncated efforts around town lately, it all actually coalesces.” We are excited to visit here, to connect with Chef Seeman, and to have her share her ideas about food.
