Day 2: 5-Course Flame-to-Fork Tasting Series

Opened at the beginning of 2018, this popular Myers Park eatery has kept things lively over the years, with spots on 2025 Lists like Charlotte Observer's “Most Michelin Star-Worthy Restaurants” and Southern Living’s “27 Best Restaurants in Charlotte.” Chef Trey Wilson is one of the Queen City’s true culinary leaders. After graduating from Johnston & Wales Charleston, he honed his craft in the UK, studying pasta and breadmaking before opening Customshop in 2007. Customshop quickly became a neighborhood gem, famed for their close (and delicious) attention to seafood, small plates, and fresh pastas. At Flour Shop, he presides over a menu that specializes in superb handmade pastas but also offers hearty mains like seared duck breast with pistachios and cherries, scallops with squash risotto, and pork chop parmesan. Don’t miss desserts too, like tiramisù, pavlova, and tres leches cake. And it all happens in an open kitchen that allows diner to watch the action. “A unique immersive experience and an excellent addition to the Charlotte dining scene,” raves Axios. A Concord native, Chef Trey Wilson graduated from Johnston & Wales Charleston and honed his craft in the UK studying pasta and breadmaking before opening Customshop in 2007. In 2018, he expanded with Flour Shop and, later on, Pizza Baby.

Do guests need to be of a certain age to attend this event?
Yes. All attendees must be 21+ to gain entry.

No. This restaurant is a non-BYO establishment. Outside alcohol will not be permitted at this event.

What is the event ticket cancellation/refund policy?
Restaurants purchase the food for our events 14 days before the event date, at which point we are on the hook for the cost of your ticket. As such, we are not able to offer refunds (or credits towards future events) for any cancellation requests submitted within 14 days of the event date. We will, however, issue full refunds for all cancellation requests submitted at least 14 days before the event date. All cancellation requests must be submitted via email to support@tastingcollective.com.
What dietary restrictions/food allergies can be accommodated at this event?
Due to the large-format nature of our events, restaurants are not able to accommodate all dietary restrictions/food allergies or make any menu adjustments based on food preferences (e.g distaste for specific ingredients/flavor profiles).
