Figo36

5-Course Old World Inspired Tasting Event

Opened just this past August in NoDa, this artful Italian restaurant, with its Italian-sleek and eminently Instagrammable setting, has already vaulted onto Eater’s list of the “14 Hottest in CLT 2022” and Charlotte Observer’s list of the “5 Best Things to do in Charlotte.” Executive Chef Livio Leoni grew up in the Valtellina valley by beautiful Lake Como in northern Italy. Armed with an exemplary culinary school training, Chef Leoni and his family moved to St. John in the US Virgin Islands in 2006 to open what became the very popular and successful da Livio Ristorante Italiano, which offered fine dining and brick oven pizza. Using that template, he opened another restaurant in Fort Lauderdale that, sadly, fell victim to the pandemic. Now, at Figo 36—so named because Figo is Italian slang for “cool” and the restaurant is located on 36th Street—he is offering beautifully-prepared dishes like chicken marsala, wild mushroom risotto, and rigatoni pulled pork ragu. (And let’s not forget the amazing whipped ricotta with lemon-soave reduction and rosemary-honey served with wedges of warm focaccia.) We can hardly wait!
