Enswell

Day 1: 5-Course Nouveau European Tasting Series

Opened in 2023 on Spruce Street, this sophisticated all-day Parisian brasserie was named a Philadelphia Magazine “Best of Philly” Award-Winner in 2024 and has been named to Eater’s List of “Best in Rittenhouse”. Executive Chef Andrew Farley helms the kitchen here, after honing his craft at Ellen Yin’s High Street on Market and Pub & Kitchen. What a craft it is too, with dishes meant to please, from grilled shrimp sur tête with dirty martini gremolata, to fairytale eggplant with caramelized yogurt, pistachio mubamarra, and mint, to grilled octopus with sofrito, frisee, and castelvetrano olives. Decadent desserts as well, like café semifreddo with espresso caramel and blueberry cobbler with sweet corn ice cream. It’s all served up in what Philadelphia Magazine called “an Art Deco jewel box” and what Infatuation terms “drop-dead gorgeous.” All to say, we can’t wait to visit Enswell. See you there!
