ELDR.
Day 1: 5-Course Live-Fire Luxuries Tasting Series
Triumphantly returning to Ballard’s Sunset Hill neighborhood after a fire shuttered its doors last year, this concept restaurant that focuses on wood-fire cooking proudly saw one of its offerings nab a spot on Eater’s List of “Best Dishes in Seattle.” (The bistro steak, in fact.) Michelin-Trained Chef Gregory Otero celebrates the drama and the dishes of a live-fire kitchen, showcasing the highest quality proteins, sustainably harvested seafood, and seasonal produce, all prepared with a focus on simplicity and bold, natural flavors inspired by the Pacific Northwest. The menu delights diners with starters like pork cap skewers with kohlrabi slaw and pomegranate and marinated mushrooms with soft egg and wild rice and entrees like baked crab, wild salmon, lamb sausage, and their incredible ELDR. burger. The tiramisu also happens to be one of the best in Seattle. And in case you were wondering—and we bet you were—ELDR. means “fire” in Old Norse. We’re really looking forward to our visit here and the opportunity to chat with Chef Otero. Join us, won’t you?
