Confidant
5-Course Sustainably Seasonal Tasting Event
Just opened in March, this fine dining establishment in Sunset Park’s Industry City complex hopped right onto New York Times’ List of “23 Top New Restaurants” and Eater’s List of “Best New Brooklyn Restaurants.” Chef/Owners Brendan Kelley and Daniel Grossman first met at Roberta’s in 2018. Chef Kelley is an alum of 2-Michelin-Starred Aska and 3-Michelin-Starred Per Se, while Chef Grossman has cooked at Gage & Tollner and Foul Witch. Together, they unfold a seasonally rotating menu, bringing bold, inventive flavors to familiar dishes, focusing on dry-aged fish and meats. Signature dishes include prawn pot pie, crown of duck with brown rice agrodolce, parsnip, and hazelnut, tuna prosciutto, and heritage chicken with maitake and herbs, all served up in an inviting environment of earth tones, exposed concrete, and lots of greenery. “Funky, subtly creative, and seasonal New American food…almost every dish has something a bit unexpected,” says The Infatuation. Confidant is a new restaurant that is really making its mark, so we are very excited to visit here. Join us, won’t you?
