Cecily
5-Course Nouveau American Tasting Event
Opened this past December, this exceptional Greenpoint eatery vaulted right onto Vogue’s “Hottest New Restaurants” List. Executive Chef Zach Frieling got off to a great start in 2015 when he placed first in the Skills USA national culinary competition and then won a full scholarship to the Culinary Institute of America. He has cooked at Jupiter in Rockefeller Center, and, most recently, he was executive chef at Michelin-Starred The Four Horsemen. At Cecily, he is turning out such toothsome delights as ramp salami with marcona almonds, pimentón fritters with aged machego, mussel toast with pancetta, Calabrian chili, and garlic aioli, roasted chicken with charred ramps, golden raisins, and pine nuts, and Berkshire pork chop with baby bok choy and salsa verde. And how about pistachio semifreddo or Basque chocolate cheesecake for dessert? Back to Vogue, its restaurant reviewer called Cecily “perhaps the platonic ideal of a modern neighborhood restaurant…some of the best (and most bountiful) plates of food I’ve had in recent memory.” Clearly, this is a place to discover, so we look forward to seeing you there!
