Casa Bianca
5-Course Channeling Coastal Italy Tasting Event
Opened in 2024 in East Austin, this Italian eatery hopped right onto Eater’s LIst that year of “Hottest New Restaurants” and made its 2025 list of “38 Essential Restaurants.” Executive Chef/Owner Joseph Zoccoli, an alum of the celebrated Uchi, draws upon his tradition of Italian family cooking executed with the forms and techniques he gathered from a decade of experience cooking Japanese cuisine. Here, he offers diners such notable dishes as spicy bluefin tuna cannoli; cured scallop with strawberries, preserved truffle, and serrano chile; cavatelli with mushroom and hazelnut ragu and fermented honey; shrimp and pork belly tortelli; risotto with summer squash; and whole crispy skin branzino with brown butter corn puree and pistachio salsa verde. And it’s all served up in a stunning Bauhaus/Art Deco setting. “Fun and exciting,” is how Infatuation describes a visit to Casa Bianca, while Austin Chronicle praises the menu as “innovative, sophisticated and playful.” Naturally, we are rearing to go. See you there!
