Bar Pigalle
5-Course Fanciful French Tasting Event
Opened June, 2022 in Midtown, Bar Pigalle quickly drew citywide acclaim, earning the highest of praise from the likes of Detroit Free Press (No. 1 “New Restaurant of the Year” in 2023) and Eater Detroit (“Best New Restaurant” Award-Winner in 2022). Chef de Cuisine Joseph Atwood, an Upper Peninsula native with a background steeped in foraging, farming, and hunting, helps his culinary team to channel Midwestern roots through precise French technique. Here diners delight in all the classics that would make Escoffier proud, from steak tartare to mussels, chicken liver pâté, steak frites, duck confit, and classic desserts like crème brûlée, bavarois with banana, almond, and semifreddo, and plum pavlova. “Dishes are refined, modern, and always evolving based on seasonality and what ingredients are at their peak,” reports Hour Detroit. As we all know, you can’t go wrong with great French food, so this promises to be a real treat. See you there!
