Day 1: 5-Course Nouveau French Tasting Series
Opened in June of 2024, this Logan Square wine bar and bistro has appeared on Resy’s 2024 List of “Top Restaurants in Chicago” and Bon Appétit's 2025 List of “Best in Chicago.” Additionally, Chef Madalyn Durrant was named a 2025 Jean Banchet Finalist for a “Rising Chef” Award. She brings her artistry to a menu that features such signature dishes as steak tartare with anchovy mayo, stuffed morels with shrimp mousseline, pappardelle with duck and mushroom ragout, poulet rôti with braised lentils and caramelized onion jus, and pan fried rainbow trout with braised greens and chermoula. Divine desserts too, like rhubarb napoleon and caramelized white chocolate crémeaux with fried cornflakes. “Durrant’s menu is filled with little treasures,” raves Chicago Magazine, so we are excited to put on our treasure hunter hats and head to Bar Parisette for the French food we love and a conversation with Chef Durrant. Executive Chef
Chef Madalyn Durrant began her culinary career in Salt Lake City, rising quickly to sous chef and chef de cuisine roles at Current Fish & Oyster. She arrived in Chicago in 2022 to take the helm at Webster’s Wine Bar, where she revitalized and expanded the culinary program and received recognition for her personal approach to seasonal cuisine, including mentions in the Chicago Tribune and New York Times. In 2024, she joined Bar Parisette as Executive Chef, bringing her deep love for French wine, culture, and cuisine. In 2025, she was named a Jean Banchet "Rising Chef" Award Finalist.
