82 Acres
Day 1: 5-Course Farm-to-Fork Tasting Series
Opened just this past February, this farm-forward eatery that moved into the space formerly occupied by the vaunted Quaintrelle has already hopped right onto Eater’s List of “Best New Portland Restaurants.” 82 Acres comes from the folks who run Abbey Farm Road. Under the supervision of Chef Will Preisch, formerly the co-chef at Holdfast Dining, 82 Acres delivers the very freshest produce and proteins that the Pacific Northwest have to offer. Renowned for his innovative approach and dedication to farm-to-table cuisine, Chef Preisch crafts menus that celebrate the seasons and highlight the bounty of locally sourced ingredients. Here, diners find dishes like beets with horseradish and pastrami spiced furikake, mussel escabeche toast with saffron aioli and fennel, carrot falafel with herbed yogurt and chili crisp, and hearty mains like lobster tail, steak frites, and roast chicken with brown butter jus and herbs de provence. And it’s all served up in an atmosphere of farmhouse chic with a rustic open kitchen. “A stunner” is how Eater characterizes 82 Acres, so naturally we are super-excited to visit here. Hope you’ll be able to join us!
