Will BYOB's Chef/Owner Christopher Kearse has quite a life story. Born in Long Island, NY as one of eight children, he grew up watching cooking shows. In 2000, his injuries in a terrible automobile accident required a jaw reconstruction that left him unable to eat anything solid for almost two years. When he resumed eating, his love for food soared -- so much so, that he decided to go to culinary school. Upon graduating, his passion landed him jobs in the kitchens of a number of legendary restaurants all over the country. In 2012, he opened Will BYOB, where his innovative menu focuses on the season, respecting French traditions along with classic and modern techniques he's picked up over the years. Chef Kearse was recently named “Best New Chef” by Philadelphia Magazine and was a semifinalist for a James Beard Award in 2013 and 2014.
