About

Opened in 2017, this Frisco eatery has been racking up accolades ever since, including spots on such lists as Dallas Magazine’s “Best in Frisco,” Dallas Observer’s “Top 100 Restaurants,” and Eater’s “38 Essential Dallas Restaurants.” Chef/Owner Rich Vana, who was a James Beard Award Semi-Finalist in 2024 in the “Best Chef: Texas” category, is offering innovative yet accessible fare, with a strong focus on sourcing from local farms and ranches, all served up in a century-old building that was once a grocery store and then a boarding house. Here, diners find dishes like strawberry and duck prosciutto salad dressed in plum jam vinaigrette, pickled shrimp with apple cider slaw, country-fried chicken and spaetzle, Texas gulf redfish with kale and arugula pesto, and lush desserts like buttermilk lemon pie and golden milk bread pudding. “Vana's James Beard nomination is well-earned,” says Dallas Observer, “and The Heritage Table belongs in any discussion among the area's best dining establishments.”
