About
Debuting this past April, this Peruvian eatery in Back Bay’s Lyrik development hopped right onto Bon Appetit’s List of “Most Anticipated Openings,” Eater’s “Best New Restaurants in Boston,” and Boston Magazine’s List of “Where to Eat Right Now.” Rosa y Marigold is the newest creation of restaurateurs JuanMa Calderón and Maria Rondeau, the duo behind Somerville’s Celeste (named “Best New Restaurant in America” by Esquire), Cambridge’s James Beard-nominated La Royal, and the experimental Esmeralda in Andover, Vermont. At Rosa Y Marigold, diners delight to such dishes as Chinese-Peruvian stir-fried rice with portobellos and eggplant, deep-fried branzino, shrimp and pineapple grilled skewers, classics like lomo saltado and ceviches, and, for dessert, Peruvian-style flan and tropical fruit mousse. And it’s all served up in a stunning interior that celebrates art just as it does food. Boston Magazine says, “We’re excited that this long-awaited Celeste and La Royal sibling is finally here. The joyous celebration of classic and modern Peruvian is worth the wait.”
