Opened at the very end of 2019, this Adams Morgan eatery has appeared on the NewYork Times’ List of “Best Restaurants in DC” and Infatuation’s List of “Best Italian Restaurants in DC” In 2025, Head Chef Mari Kolchraiber, born in São Paulo and an alum of Michelin-Starred Pineapple and Pearls, helped to revamp the menu and give it a Brazilian touch. From stylish small plates to hearty entrées from the wood-fired grill, the menu changes seasonally. Standout dishes include heirloom tomato panzanella with cucumber ajoblanco and basil, arancini with broccoli and roasted garlic pesto, grilled lion’s mane mushrooms with onion jam, pickled enoki, and fried chickpeas, exceptional pasta dishes, and entrees like grilled lamb ribs and picanha steak with horseradish aioli. Leave room too for desserts like almond financier with blueberry, orange zuppa inglese, and lavender salt and chocolate sorbet with orange olive oil and cocoa nibs.
