About

Opened just this past February, this very special Northeast eatery hopped right onto Eater’s “Hottest in Portland” List. Built around a communal dining concept, where good food meets good company, Landsdowne Social doesn’t skimp on the good food piece of the equation. Chef/Owner Martin Pfeifer grew up in Southern California and spent formative years in Montana before heading to the Pacific Northwest, where he worked first at the fine dining establishment Quaintrelle and then set up a much-acclaimed pop-up called Aniks. Now, in a restaurant of his own, he is serving up a menu high on the bounty of the area, with dishes like tagliatelle with courgettes, wild mushroom, and hazelnut and fennel pesto, New York strip with charred spring onions and mushroom escabeche, and how about a chèvre cheesecake with strawberry and vermouth compote and hazelnut crumble for dessert?
