La Vara

Located in Cobble Hill, Brooklyn, La Vara is the crown jewel of power chef couple, Alex Raij and Eder Montero. The restaurant became an immediate sensation as soon as its doors opened back in 2012, and it has received a Michelin Star every year since 2015 (one of a very select handful of Brooklyn restaurants to receive this recognition). Chefs Raij and Montero are credited with the rise of tapas in NYC and are without a doubt royalty of the NYC Basque culinary scene; they also own and operate Txikito, the Basque-inspired eatery in Chelsea, and El Quinto Pino, which is located just down the street from Txikito.
