About

Opened at the very end of 2025, this Malaysian eatery in Greenpoint was listed on Eater’s 2026 List of “Hottest New Brooklyn Restaurants” and Infatuation’s List of “12 Best Malaysian Restaurants in NYC.” Chef/Owner Chris Low, who gave Sunset Park the über-popular Hainan Chicken House, serves up mainly Malaysian specialties, sprinkled with all the Caribbean and Italian influences you’d expect from a Brooklyn enterprise. Think rendang made with oxtails, curry chicken pot pie, and paratha with red lentil daal and straciatella. And for dessert, maybe burnt pineapple gelato with olive oil and sea salt, or the Musang King Durian Crème Brûlée? “Remarkable,” says BK Magazine. “The food is all great, and the setting is pretty delicious too. There are plush red banquettes, cool honeycombed mirrors, ephemera from Kelang (the city) on the walls, family photos tucked here and there, a circular bar up front, and lighting Low himself designed to make you feel like you’re in a movie.”
