Opened at the beginning of 2018, this popular Myers Park eatery has kept things lively over the years, with spots on 2025 Lists like Charlotte Observer's “Most Michelin Star-Worthy Restaurants” and Southern Living’s “27 Best Restaurants in Charlotte.” Chef Trey Wilson is one of the Queen City’s true culinary leaders. After graduating from Johnston & Wales Charleston, he honed his craft in the UK, studying pasta and breadmaking before opening Customshop in 2007. Customshop quickly became a neighborhood gem, famed for their close (and delicious) attention to seafood, small plates, and fresh pastas. At Flour Shop, he presides over a menu that specializes in superb handmade pastas but also offers hearty mains like seared duck breast with pistachios and cherries, scallops with squash risotto, and pork chop parmesan. Don’t miss desserts too, like tiramisù, pavlova, and tres leches cake.
