A true restaurant veteran, having debuted all the way back in 2005, this vibrant oceanic mecca on NoPa’s Divisadero Street has kept things sparkling fresh over the years, landing on Eater’s 2025 List of “14 Best Seafood Restaurants” and Resy’s 2025 List of “Where to Eat in San Francisco Right Now" (in addition to being cited in the Michelin Guide.) Australian-born Executive Chef Melissa Perfit, formerly a Top Chef star and the Chef De Cuisine for Charles Phan's restaurant Hard Water, joined Bar Crudo in 2014. She's since made it a celebration of raw and minimally prepared seafood, offering innovative crudo, delicate oysters, and such much-loved signature dishes as lobster salad, seafood chowder, porcini-crusted black cod, and grilled octopus with sweet potato mash, mustard frills, and lime yogurt. “Bar Crudo is everything. It’s elegant, approachable, and guaranteed to be downright delicious,” says SF Weekly, while Thrillist calls the spot “a golden dining destination.” What more can we say?
