DAY 2: 6-Course Old World Inspired Dinner Series

Located on the ground floor of the AKA Rittenhouse Hotel on Rittenhouse Square, this sleek bistro was named “One of America’s Best Wine Restaurants” by Wine Enthusiast. Executive Chef Eli Collins, who got his start working under fabled chef Daniel Boulud at the French brasserie DBGB in New York before serving as Executive Chef at Pub & Kitchen, is turning out sophisticated fare, very seasonal and French-inflected. Signature offerings include excellent charcuterie like Alsatian choucroute with crackly pork belly, inventive vegetable dishes like charred leeks with lime and almond vinaigrette or baby artichokes with rhubarb harissa, and seafood specials such as octopus a la plancha. “A gastronomic gem,” raves restaurant reviewer Craig LaBan of the Philadelphia Inquirer, which named a.kitchen one of the city’s Top 25 restaurants of 2018. We will be taking over the restaurant for this event, and Chef Collins will be on hand to answer your questions and discuss the thinking that goes into his menu planning.
