Elevated Peruvian Tasting Event

New York - March 28th at Contento

Given all of the incredible acclaim Contento has garnered both locally (NY Times "Best New Restaurants of 2021" List) and nationally (Esquire "Best New Restaurants in America 2021" List), it's safe to say member expectations were through the roof for this event. Based on the post-event feedback that's been coming in from attendees, it's crystal clear that Chef/Owner Oscar Lorenzzi and his incredible team surpassed these sky-high expectations, as this event ended up being undoubtedly one of our top-rated of all time! The 60 attendees who filled up Contento for back-to-back seatings were treated to a truly magical exploration of modern Peruvian cuisine that left everyone feeling warm and fuzzy on this unexpectedly frigid evening. To those members who missed this event, all we can say is, go to this restaurant ASAP! While all of the five courses were huge winners at this event (4 of which were first-time creations), below are the top three as rated by attendees on their feedback cards:

 

1st Place: Quinoa & Corn Risotto - with corn, queso fresco cream, and chili oil


2nd Place: Octopus Ceviche - with persian cucumber, red onions, edamame, chicharron, and leche de pantera


3rd Place:  Chocolate & Passion Fruit Tart - with dulce de leche chantilly
