Izakaya Inspired Tasting Event

Washington DC - December 14th at Daikaya

For our last event of 2021, we teamed up with veteran DC Chef Katsuya Fukushima for an Izakaya Inspired Tasting at Chef Fukushima's acclaimed Chinatown eatery, Daikaya. Chef Fukushima put together a "one night only" menu for us comprised entirely of creations that aren't on his usual menu and, as you can see in the photos below, the food was BEAUTIFUL! Over 60 attendees turned out, and Chef Fukushima had a blast sharing stories with us throughout the evening and partaking in the Q&A during dessert. 1st Place: Wagyu Beef Kare - homestyle beef curry with koshihikari rice and housemade pickles


2nd Place: Oeufs Mayonnaise - with mentaiko and soft herbs


3rd Place: Salmon "Pierre Troisgros" - with creamy sorrel sauce and microchard
