Los Angeles - November 3rd at Shibumi

Our first-ever Los Angeles event series is officially a wrap! it's safe to say expectations were sky high for TC LA Event Series #1, considering Shibumi's glowing reputation as one of the city's only Michelin-starred restaurants. In a city with a near-endless supply of fantastic restaurants, that is no small achievement. Over 70 members (+ their guests) turned out over the course of two seatings ready to be wowed for this one, and Chef Schlosser certainly did not disappointing. While it's safe to say that not every course wowed attendees, attendee ratings were overwhelmingly positive and Chef Schlosser's passion for Japanese cuisine, as well as his background having trained in many of Japan's best Michelin-starred restaurants, undoubtedly shined through brightly! Below are the top three courses, as rated by attendees on their feedback cards:


1st Place: Grilled Berkshire Pork in Koji - with shaved leek and pickled daikon radish

2nd Place: House Miso in Smoked Dashi Broth - with mini shiitake mushrooms stuffed with tofu and ginkgo nuts

3rd Place: Chilled Kabocha Soup - with fresh yuba and puffed rice
