Izakaya Inspired Dinner Series

New York - April 8th, 9th & 10th at Oka

Our first collaboration with Oka turned into a big milestone for the TC community, as we hit a record number of attendees over the course of 3 days (almost 200 tix sold!). And, the last day of the series was our first-ever 2-seating weeknight event, which has incredibly exciting implications for the community - more to come on that soon! Anyway, enough about us... Simply put, Chef John McCarthy and his team KILLED IT! Attendee feedback was beyond positive across the board. Every course received positive ratings, so take the ratings below with a grain of salt, but here are the 3 top courses from each event as rated by attendees on their feedback cards:

 

DAY 1

1st Place: Tonkatsu - fried pork cutlet with napa cabbage and scallion

2nd Place: Edamame Salad - with shrimp cracker and wasabi

3rd Place: Hamachi Kama - yellowtail collar with soy and yuzu

 

DAY 2

1st Place: Hamachi Kama - yellowtail collar with soy and yuzu

2nd Place: Passion Fruit Anglaise - with graham cracker and meringue 

3rd Place: Tonkatsu - fried pork cutlet with napa cabbage and scallion
