Authentic Caribbean Dinner Event

New York - January 31st at Miss Lily's 7A

To put it simply, this event had it all. The atmosphere was electric, the food was delicious, and Chef Andre Fowles was full of stories! As soon as we walked into the restaurant, we were hit with a warm breeze reminiscent of a Jamaican beach. The Caribbean vibes continued for the next 2+ hours, as we ate and drank the night away. Chef Fowles put together an incredibly diverse menu that showcased the range of flavors encompassed by Caribbean cuisine - an assortment of Miss Lily’s signature dishes (Jerk Corn, Hot Pepper Shrimp), as well as off-menu items (Lamb Tikka, Guyanese Lo-Mein). One of those off-menu dishes actually ended up stealing the show; We think it deserves a spot on their regular menu… Below are the top 3 courses of the feast as rated by attendees on their tasting notes:

1st Place: Lamb Tikka - with raita, roti bread, and mango chutney

2nd Place: Hot Pepper Shrimp - with jamaican chili paste and roasted broccolini

3rd Place: Grilled Jerk Corn - with jerk mayo and toasted coconut flakes
