The Lymbar

5-Course Latin Meets Mediterranean Tasting Event

Opened at the end of 2022, this very popular eatery in the Ion on Lymbar Drive focuses on Latin and Mediterranean cuisine, a combo that landed Lymbar on last year’s “Best Restaurants” Lists from both Eater and Thrillist. Chef/Owner David Cordúa, a native Houstonian, is the son of legendary Nicaraguan chef Michael Cordúa and David himself moved to Paris after college and earned a Grande Diplome in cuisine and pastry from Le Cordon Bleu while training at notable restaurants like La Tour d’Argent and L’Auberge Bressane. In 2007, he joined his family’s Cordúa Restaurants as Executive Chef and VP of Brand Development and opened two Americas and three Churrascos locations. At The Lymbar, he is supervising a menu that includes a grand selection of empanadas, ceviches, tacos, paella, and so much more, served up in a stunningly modern setting. (Leave room for the vanilla-scented tres leches.) “Vibrant and a lot of fun,” says the Houston Chronicle, which is just what we’re in the mood for. See you there!
