5-Course Dreaming of Kerala Tasting Event

Opened this past April by the Chicago River in beautiful Avondale, this Indian eatery has been showered with accolades, appearing on such lists as New York Times’ “Best Restaurants in America” (2023), Time Out’s “Best in Chicago” (2024), and Eater’s “Best Indian in Chicago” (2023). Chef/Co-Owner Margaret Pak expresses her love for the southwest Indian coastal cuisine of Kerala, rich with aromatic spices, coconut and curry leaves, in dishes like kallumakaya (pan-seared mussels with carrot and radish salad), meen pollichathu (fish steamed in banana leaves with tomato basil gravy and turmeric lime rice), chettinad pepper chicken (boneless chicken, black pepper, tomato, coconut milk), and roots korma (beets, carrots, and potatoes stewed in aromatic cashew and coconut gravy). “Comforting recipes that you won’t find anywhere else in town,” says Time Out in their article on “The 94 Best Restaurants in Chicago You Have to Try.” Try it we will, and hope to see you there!
